Wild Sports Marketing Announces Key Appointments To Management Team

Wild Sports Marketing (WSM) announced this week 2 key appointments to strengthen the leading motorsports and entertainment marketing agency’s management team.

Steve Moberly, previously WSM Director of Business Development, was promoted to Vice President, effective immediately. Moberly will continue to lead WSM’s motorsports business development team and focus on high-quality sponsorship opportunities for Keyed-Up Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Moberly, a Winchester, KY native with over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, will head WSM’s account management team and also oversee WSM’s overall business strategy, including expanding the agency’s presence in the entertainment industry.

Moberly was humbled by the promotion and focused his comments on WSM clients in a statement.

“I’m truly excited about the future of Wild Sports Marketing- and the role WSM will play in helping our clients achieve their goals and objectives.” said Moberly. “I look forward to all the challenges of my new position, including expanding WSM’s involvement in NASCAR and the entertainment industry.”

Adding depth to the WSM account management team was the appointment of Luke Davis as Account Manager. Davis, also a Kentucky native, will oversee WSM key accounts, including Keyed-Up Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Davis, an Eagle Scout award winner from the Boy Scouts of America, will specialize in the procurement of high-quality dynamic sponsorship opportunities and report directly to WSM Vice-President Steve Moberly.

Davis is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the university’s Gordon Ford College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

“I’m very excited about this opportunity that WSM management has given me. WSM is going through tremendous growth and it’s exciting to be a part of it.” said Davis in a statement from Wild Sports Marketing. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Steve (Moberly) on WSM key accounts and I’m honored to help WSM clients achieve their goals and objectives.”

Keyed-Up Motorsports Owner Raymond Key Uses NASCAR To Help ForKids Charity

Raymond Key, prominent Virginia businessman and team owner of the Keyed-Up Motorsports No. 90 Chevy Impala in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has a proven track record of success. His “day job” as owner of Raymond Key Commercial Contracting has given him a very good life and the opportunity to pursue his passion of racing in NASCAR’s top series.

But, Key also has another passion, one that truly has captured his heart- ForKids, a Norfolk, VA non-profit organization. Key will donate a portion of the proceeds generated from Keyed-Up Motorsports’ endeavors on the track. But, equally important, Key is committed to raising awareness about ForKids’ remarkable efforts to make substantial differences in the lives of needy families.

No stranger to poverty, Key joined efforts with ForKids to help homeless families with children in getting their lives back on track; much like Key’s family was forced to do after the divorce of his parents, extreme poverty, and the murder of his father in 1975.

ForKids helps families that have a variety of hardships, including: chronic hunger, disabilities, domestic violence, mental illness and housing-related debt. In addition, the current economic crisis has created a new reality, homelessness and threats of homelessness are no longer conditions faced solely by the poor, uneducated, and unemployable. Homelessness has gone mainstream and is bringing in its wake an entirely new class of needy—those who have always been self-sufficient, stable, and financially solvent.

Key’s involvement goes far beyond being the premier sponsor for ForKids, he also sits on the Board of Directors. It is solely due to the hard times personally experienced by Key as to why this charity is so near and dear to his heart. With each family that progresses through the program, he sees himself as a little boy, watching his mother struggle and says to himself, “This is why I believe in this program.”

Please visit ForKids to find out more information about this worthy cause. And, if possible, please help ForKids make a difference in the lives of homeless families and children.
